There is no FIA-sanctioned drifting championship in 2023. The FIA does not currently have a drifting championship, and there are no plans to create one in the near future.

However, there are a number of drifting championships that are not sanctioned by the FIA. These championships are typically organized by private promoters, and they vary in terms of their format and rules.

Some of the most popular drifting championships that are not sanctioned by the FIA include:

  • Formula Drift: This is the most popular drifting championship in the United States. It is organized by Formula DRIFT, LLC, and it is held on a variety of tracks throughout the country.
  • D1 Grand Prix: This is the most popular drifting championship in Japan. It is organized by D1 Grand Prix, Inc., and it is held on a variety of tracks throughout Japan.
  • Euroformula Open Drift Series: This is a drifting championship that is held in Europe. It is organized by Euroformula Open Drift Series, and it is held on a variety of tracks throughout Europe.
  • King of Europe: This is a drifting championship that is held in Europe. It is organized by King of Europe, and it is held on a variety of tracks throughout Europe.

These are just a few of the many drifting championships that are not sanctioned by the FIA. If you are interested in drifting, I recommend checking out some of these championships to see if they are a good fit for you.
